The main residence is a 5 bedroom Georgian house that sits amongst and incorporates the ancient ruins of a partially restored Norman castle and Manor House. It sleeps 9 guests and comprises 1 super king master bedroom, 2 king rooms, 1 single room and a twin room. Along with a downstairs toilet and 3 bathroom suites with roll top baths and ornate fittings.
The interior has been restored, maintaining its original features while incorporating modern amenities. From a mediaeval dining room with baby grand piano, a large fully integrated kitchen with a Nespresso machine, a large drawing room, a snug with a 32″ smart TV and a den. Each space is uniquely designed with antique furnishings and fine art.
The castle grounds are exceptionally breathtaking, with views of the tower ruins. You are greeted by beautiful flower gardens that have been well kept and are bursting with colour. The large lawn with an outside dining area is perfect for al fresco dining as well as a spot of games on a warm summer’s evening. Across the lawn is a restored Norman tower, which has spectacular views over the land and one of the finest remains of a Norman toilet! The gardens offer a relaxing ambience for guests to sit back and enjoy.
Staying at Wilton Castle will be an extraordinary experience. It’s an opportunity to step back in time and escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. Whether you are interested in exploring the surrounding areas such as the Wye Valley, or simply relaxing amongst the history of the grounds, Wilton Castle will be a perfect stay.
